Strapping Amps

Quick question two amps rated for 1 ohm stable I strap it to its equal do I wire it for 2 ohms or 1 ohm? I know 1 ohm means .5 ohm a piece but I didn't know if since they are strapped whether they can take it since its 1 ohm altogether

If you strap something like Sundown you'll be able to run 1 ohm, maybe even .5 if you have the electric but some of the lower class amps like maybe two AP's then you won't be able to strap that low.

I am running 2 Hifonics BXI2601D They are lower end amps and I strapped them at 1 Ohm, meaning they got a .5 ohm load and fried one within 2 hours. Really depends on quality of Amps!!!
