Strapping amps

rca from deck to first amp then rca from first amp output to second amp input..
see i did that but what about my crossover? mine when set to lp on first amp makes the output to the second amp hp. do i just leave the hpf all the way down?

What do you mean it makes it high pass? What happens when both amps are set on Low pass?

ok, say i have a master and a slave. if i turn the filter on the master to LP it makes the output from master to the slave amp HP or i can turn it to HP and it makes the output to the slave amp LP. wish i had a better pic of the crossover and stuff...

ok, if its not strappable then how should i go about running 2? am i just shit out of luck ?
the maxxlink will take care of it if that's an option.

input phase reversal won't do anything...

go old-school and just hook the outputs parallel? I've read about competitors that did that. Gain-matched though and tone only.

its weird because the closer i get my LP's set to each other the sound almost goes away. like there comflicting. where can i find this maxxlink ? i thought about waiting until i could get ahold of zier and ask him since he runs a shitload of em.

Yeah it can be done. But they have to be gain matched almost exactaly.

It sounds like he is trying to strap them but doesn't know what he's doing.

If you want to run to amps to one sub they will need the same input and need gain matched. Its easier to just get the link. That is why they designed it so mono amps that aren't strapable can be.Nice product with gains shown in every application.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well, ive gain matched them and ran them with no filter and went from a 148.9 and sounding good to 149.6 and sounding like ***...

ive tried using y adapters and running them chained and still the same results.

all im doing is trying to run one amp per sub.

Are you using a sub out or a rear out?

Try putting the y's on the left channel and running those to one amp and the other y's on the right channel then to the other amp.Set both amps to LP and see what that does.
