Strapping amps

So i'm kinda short on cash right now and i'm only gonna get an amp that puts out about half the power i want for my sub. I'm gonna get 1 1200d, wire it up at 1 ohm. Down the road if i wanna add more power i would prefer to buy another amp, rather than buy one new big one. If i had two orion 1200d's strapped, can i still wire it at a 1 ohm impendance load with 1 dual 2 ohm sub??? Or do i have to wire 1 amp to each coil, cause that'd be pointless to have 2 nice amps and only be getting about half of thier full power potential.. THX

you cant wire them together for a 1ohm load that would put them each at .5ohm. youll have to run em each at 1ohm for a two ohm load.
