strapping 2 aq2200s at 1ohm???

I have two hdc3 15s dvc 1ohm subs, copper, in a 17x38x18 small ported box in a trunk of an impala.

I have 1 aq2200 right now at 1 ohm for my subs, now can i strap 2 aq2200s and get a 1ohm load for both of em? what kind of electrical would I need? is this possible? will i fry the amps? Id get about 2500 to each sub?

Nope, I tried the same thing with my two HDC312's and 2 2200D's, they can individually be at 1 ohm but strapped together can only go to 2 ohm stable

i had my 2200'd strapped at 1 ohm, they took it fine, i had a small imp. rise though, so each amp was seeing about .7

HO alt and 4 G31 batts should do the job. I've run my 3500's strapped at .5ohm each for daily with no issues....

what was your electrical like and why wouldn't they strap at 1ohm for the pair? You should be able to burp like that also, but not at .025ohm as I found out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But they roll up just fine...

the better electrical backing the more luck you'll have running them lower. id say at least 240amp alty, and 3-4k crank amps worth of bats. at least 2 runs of 1/0 1+ 1-
