So,
im having this strange problem with my soundstream picassos on my tower.
Last season, at one point essentiall my higs/trebble cut out. A short time later, they all came back on. The problem presisted in that manor until finally there was no highs.
One person on this forum originally suggested ot could be that my internal crossover on my amp went bad. I thought a reasonable possibility.
today as i was beginning my new install, i took one of the speakers to my home receiver and again, still had little if any of the mid and highs of the 3 way.
However, tested it with my dmm and it read normal, at around 3.8 ohm. If it was blown, wouldnt i have a different reading? I tested some of my blown speakers as a comparison and that was indeed the case.
What in the world could be the problem. Im SOMEWHAT certain they couldnt be blown. I was feeding them below their rms with my gains set properly.
If they were blown, i would most likely hear a crackling/popping sound out of at least one of them. From my experience it is almost impossible that they would all go out like that at the same time if they were blown..
Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY apperciated!
