strange helicopter noise from cd player

i have this strange low volume chopper type noise coming from my system...

cd player is deh880prs, comps are cdt's on sig, amp is a diamond 300.4, i got the front channels going from one pair of rcas and then, i have two Y rca cables that transfer the signals each side (right and left) to the front and rear channels...

the noise is low volume, it exists when you have the volume at 0, and is still there until you bring the volume above 5 or so, so if its at 0, you can hear it sitting up straight...

rear channel outputs from the cd player is the same...

any ideas?

I have read and then re-read this four times now.

I'm still clueless as to wtf you mean here...

yeah sorry bout that bro...was kinda in a hurry...

the equipment is what i said...

how i have it set up is i'm just using the front outputs from the cd player...

this pair of outputs is going to all four channels of the amp...

how i did that is i used a "Y" RCA connector to connect the right channel of the HU output to the front channels of the amp, and another "Y" RCA connector to connect the left channels of the HU RCA output to the rear channels of the amp...

i am clueless as far as what i could have done wrong...i've installed a dozen systems and this is the first one thats giving me so much trouble...

update: the noise has turned into a fairly loud siren...

i'm looking for help as far as trying to narrow down what the problem is to...

thanks bro...

No dude, seriously, you're constantly being stalked by a helicopter.

Is it alternator whine, is it high pitched and changes when you rev your engine?

If so, you may need to ground your headunit better, ground your negative(ground) wires better (from your amps). Sanding/Grounding to a solid single point on your car...or even ground your RCA lines on your headunit: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147694

It's a Pioneer. Common problem. turn your gains down or the RCAs have the normal ground loop problem associated with their head units. My advice is to try a diff. brand head unit like an Alpine,etc......

i think i will take it all apart and work with it...make sure the grounds are excellent and make sure the rca's are away from the power cable...

i'll give that grounding of the rca's a try as well...

thanks for the great help ideas....i'll let yalls know what happens later

LATER: I got it fixed with the grounding the RCA outputs trick! THANKS YALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
