Just bought my new Red Top optima battery 75 series and put it under the hood and had a thought about mounting it in my truck behind the seat and putting my Exide 78 series 770ca and 1000 ca back under the hood.....the Exide is only 6 months old......any thoughts or input is appreciated...also what do i need to do to make this work?

i wasnt thinking of putting the exide in the back...its not an option...its too **** big. will this strain my alternator more than it already is...or will the benefits outweigh the disadvantages? i have the big 3 done and still get big voltage (from 13.9-12.2v on the low notes....)drops at idle while my foot is on the brake.

yes it will strain your alternator, but it shouldn't be an insane amount, it should help your voltage, are you running 0 guage from front to rear already?

edit: saw your sig...

i'd say go ahead and do it, what can it hurt?

just wire it all in parelel, and you'll be okay.

test your voltage, see if daddy likes.
