how is it that nobody on this forum knows that everything grounds back to the alternator case? think about it, if it doesnt click you should probably stop.

Wait, isn't that the origin (read: generation) of the electricity in a vehicle electrical system.

EDIT: We don't stop neutral runs at a substation in the distribution electricity world, there is a "ground" running on transmission all the way back to the frame of the generating facility whether it be hydro/gas/coal/etc

it is, from the post that carries a positive charge, the case being on the other end of the generation carries the only true negative in the car. i cant explain it in electrical terms (i dont know them) but my alt information all comes from tom at ohio gen, there arnt many that know the alt game any better than he does.

its really fun to be at the shop, they had to custom cut my alt case to make their denso fit on my tib, its very much a thunderdome sense of humor around there.
