I think they could make money off of it, I had to debate on the legalization of drugs in class and I had a whole system planned out, I honestly don't know why the gov wont legalize it. I guess it might put a lot of people out of jobs if drugs became legalize, but they could at least legalize weed and keep the other one's legal, it would be a start.

But it would create a whole new industry. Look at how much industries like tobacco and alcohol are worth. The positives of something like this would outweigh the negatives of a couple hundred people losing their jobs due to random drug testing. They signed the contract with their company when they got hired. They knew the consequences. Not to mention, it would be especially good for the economy because it would be a domestic product as there is really nowhere to import it from legally, and I about imagine the US would be a low cost producer of marijuana among developed nations already having an ideal climate for marijuana growth.

Funny we are "the land of the free" and we are THE NUMBER ONE INCARCERATED COUNTRTY IN THE WORLD PER CAPITA.
And you're right, most of the people in jail are there for NON VIOLENT CRIMES.

Just because we are the land of the free, doesn't mean you can do whatever the hell you want.

I 100% agree with you. Trust me, I get heated when I talk to this about people and they are for the War on Drugs. Their stupidity amazed me and they argue on pure emotion without rational or logical thought, they should shovel the government's bullshit right into their mouth. I'm just trying to see it from the other side and think of any legit reason why they wont legalize, and as you can see, there isn't one. And I was talking about people in the government losing their job like the DEA or something like that. But again I 100% agree with you.

Getting caught with a nick around here is HUGE. You go to jail and they treat you as if you had meth or something. You stay in jail for 30 days until you see the judge or until someone bails you out. My sister got pulled over and they searched her car and found a lighter with a marijuana picture on the lighter and they acted like they made a huge bust... They didn't find anything... she doesn't smoke anyways. Neither do I, but I think sometimes it is blown way out of proportion.

Right, but you don't find it ironic we have more people in jail per capita than any other country? Did I say you should be able to do whatever the hell you wanted, umm no. You shouldn't be able to drive stoned. But I think it's ridiculous I can't sit on my couch on a Friday night, throw in a movie, and toke a little.

please explain your reasoning? I understand that if you get really high, as in smoking a blunt to the head or something, it will cause horrible anti-social tendencies. On the other hand, smoking small amounts and going upon your business has not yet once caused any social harm for me yet, but i have only been smoking daily for 3 years so some call me a noob.

And anyway, does it hurt people to become anti-social for a few hours here and there? If its causing no harm it shouldnt bother you.... just imo

here in arkansas, you have two possesion chances before it becomes a felony, in other words, 3 strikes and you're out. I would have no problem with it being decriminalized, and im sure a few of my buddies wouldnt mind it either. But who knows...yes, I believe there is moeny to be made off of it by the government, sell it like cigarettes. $10 a pack and tax the ten dollars, I would pay $10 for 10 joints or 10 dollars for 5 blunts either way, there is a way for the government to make money off of it.

Yes it is. Well at least marijuana is in most places.

If you don't, good luck.

Good luck finding it, and good luck finding someone who doesn't know you that will sell it to you.

Every pothead I know has gone without pot for awhile because the two or three people they know who deal are dry.

True. However, while blazed I'm just more chill & giddy. While Drunk I'm just ummm more talkative.

I guess both are social harms. Should I care about those "social harms"? No.

Anything ABUSED can cause social harm, and that doesn't just reefer (hehe) to drug use.
