Stock Sub Making Popping Sound After New Radio Install

I own a 2004 Cadillac Seville SLS, I went to a stereo shop and had my stock radio replaced with a Kenwood DPX300U so I can connect my ipod to my radio. After fully installed and driving back home, I noticed my sub woofer started to make a popping/clicking sound when volume turned up.

What could be wrong?

My original stock radio never made this popping/clicking noise,

and actually was able to go louder volume & louder bass then it does now. What happened?

Did they blow my speaker? Did they install something wrong? Wiring?

Thanks

Too many variables to consider, take it back to the shop that did the install and have them fix/troubleshoot the issue.
The stero shop I had it installed at is saying because the new aftermarket radio is "more powerfull" then my orginal stock radio,

that the new radio is too much for my stock sub to handle, and that I need to buy a new amp & sub. That doesn't sound right to me.

The stock sub sounded amazing before the aftermarket radio install.

I would imagine that the stock amp is running power along with the HU to the Sub giving it too much power. I know bad things happen in the Tundra's when people with the upgraded JBL systems run an aftermarket HU with the stock amp/
