Stock HU sound processor?

Hello everyone! So lately I have been looking towards upgrading my stock sound and what better way then start off with the Head Unit. My only problem is that buying a new head unit is a hassle, The harness kits for my car arent all that awesome and I was wondering if sound processors would do the job. I am looking in the $200 price range. Any other useful tips would be greatly appreciated!

Finally! thanks for the response, I started looking at audio control and im starting to like the company a lot! The OEM integration converters look very promising but I still dont understand how these work and what I should look at...?
