Stock CD-Receiver taken out, light for clock and temperature gone.

I'm planning on getting a new Alpine deck for my radio tomorrow. So today my buddy took out my stock cassette/CD-Receiver for my 2001 Honda Accord, but now the lights for the clock and temperature don't work so I can't read anything. I'm guessing it's because I'm driving around with no radio, but is there a chance that he unplugged something under the dashboard?

The clock and the temperature still can be changed and do work, just I can't read it at night.

Wouldn't a bad fuse make the clock/temperature not work at all?
