Hey guys, I got a Cadence cap bat as a gift(strange gift I know) but anyway I installed it and havent connected my negative battery terminal yet because I wanted to make sure I was doing this right.

My question is, does this unit need to be charged up with a resistor to be properly installed. Nowhere in the manual does Cadence mention anything about it nor did they send a resistor with their product so I was just wondering. Any idea?

thanks, I hooked it up but then I ended up having to charge it and it works fine. I just got it to take some stress off my battery and alternator. I would have gotten a new HO alternator but Im trading my vehicle in september so I didnt want to spend anymore money on something that I was getting rid of.
