stock cd player compatability

I have a 97 gmc sierra with the stock tape deck and seperate cd player in the dash. I would like to install a in dash flip out tv and would like to know if the tv i get has cd changer controls can i interface the two together or will the cd player just be useless from know on? i plan on installing a playstation 2 under the back seat but would be a pain to change cd every time. and the tvs with built in cd/dvd players are just out of my budget thanks in advance

most likely an alpine cva-1003 you can usualy pick those up for a good price. and i like alpine head units. but if tere is one you think might be better any advice is well taken. i've never had anyones tv but i've owned alot of head units and alpine always had the best tonal balance to my liking thanks
