Stinger Wire Differences?

I am looking for some wire for an install I'll be doing over the next few weeks. What exactly is the difference between the different lines of Stinger wire? They all have the same strand count, so I'm not seeing the reason why one would cost more than another. Is it in shielding or materials, or are they just trying to scam the customer?

Any help will be much appreciated,

I am sure that the more expensive has a more plyable coating as well. Still hard to beat the Kicker wire though.

Where can I get just the Kicker wire for a decent price? The only place i've found it out of a kit was $5 a foot!!!!!!!!!!!

What about KnuKonceptz Kolossus Kable? It has 800+ strands over the Expert, and is tinned copper.

Copper has gone sky high and also the coating on wire is oil based so us in the audio business got double screwed. I watched the price of a roll of wire double this year

I need enough to do an install and the big 3 in a std. cab s10. I still have to measure and get my exact needs down. I'm going to be running 0 gauge for the main line and the big 3, and some 4 and 8 from a distro block to the amps

The good thing about the Kicker wire is that you can pretty much tie it in a knot. But if you really don't need for anything to flex that much there are others just as good.

Thanks much. the flex in it will help me keep the wire tucked tight to the floor when going over bnds and such. Make for a nice, clean install.

I'm thinking about using Monster Cable. Gotta check prices when I get to the store and see if it is worth it. MSRP is REDICULOUS!!!

I've never even considered anything but stinger. But I've learned about a lot of other good brands through this forum for a lot of stuff. It's amazing what you can find when you look outside the mainstream. Ganted, Kicker is about as mainstream as you get, but I would have never thought of them for wire before this forum.

Yeah I like their wire. I've got a set of their SS56.2 component sets and the SSMB6 sitting in the closet LOL
