u said your sub was a d2 which is dual 2ohm voice coils

wire them in parallel and you get 1ohm load

lol i was about 2 say the same thing.. man my 2 MTX 81001's share a 1ohm load so thats .5daily each.. but i have alt, big 3, optima and 2 extar batts

How can I find out how big my alternator is on my 1996 Jimmy? Will I have to switch my alt if I am running an MTX TA 7801 and a 18" Fi Q ? What do you mean by the Big 3? and what is an optima?

your alt will be fine....research the big 3 on under wiring and electrical, and an optima is a 6 cell agm battery

as i said, your alt will be fine! do the big 3 and don't worry about another battery...yet

i would order wire from knukonceptz.com order by the foot... but 1st take some twine and measure the lengths u will need to do the big 3 (batt positive to Alt, Batt neg to chassis, and engine block to chassis) u will need some 0ga ring terms
