I'm thinking of getting myself a new amp [sundown 2500] and was wondering if these subs are up to par for a modern system and powerplant. They have been sitting in my garage [boxed as shipped] for several years and have never seen current. Opinions,sealed box rec's if other than RF's .625+ .15 sub displacement,gripes,cautions...

Hell yeah the power hx2's were some nice subs by rf. Those could have most of that power on them I would give them some time before putting more on since they are so old with no power having been put on them. With these you need to go ported man, they are made for ported.

When I got out of the car audio hobby,many years ago,I mostly gave away or sold for pennies on the dollar, almost all my competition stuff,to lots of my young co-workers.I think I put 4 of these as well as a bunch of Quart stuff,several RF Power series amps and some Audio Control bits into a kids wake boarding boat.Oh well.
