still have engine noise

Alright im running out of ideas, iv check all the ground, iv regrounded my cdplayer directly to the bat, and even tryed two set of rca and i still have engine noise coming through and it gets louder if i switch the low pass crossover on my orion 2500d from full to 24. anyone have any ideas or is it time for a new cdplayer.

Unplug the RCA's from the amplifier and plug in a muting plug. Turn the system on. Noise go away?

Unplug the RCA's from the headunit but leave them plugged into the amplifier. Turn the system on. Noise go away?

i would also check that none of the screws holding your speakers are touching the metal of the car.if you run car with music playing and unscrew 1 screw at a time you might find the culprit? worked for me once.
