Still Dimming!

alright i'm running a saz1500 on 1 ohm to a fully loaded Fi bl, and my shit drops pretty dang-on bad still specially with the heat and lights on at night, i dont understand why, i have a brand new 130 amp alternator, 2 brand new batts one under the hood one in the rear, 1/0 big 3 and 1 run of 1/0 for the power and ground wire...what the hells going on?

well with your lights and heat that will cuz a bad volt drop. yea you have a new alt but u need a bigger one. you can try to bring up the rpms when you are playin your music. is this at idle and are u checkin it with a dmm? or are u goin by the dimming. i get no dimming and i drop down to 12.9 if i have my lights/fogs on. what car/truck you have?

what vehicle? What brand alt.? what batteries? what brand wire? any mid amp(s)?

I was running a P1800.4 on the mids and XX-Zeus with only the Big3 in 2/0, single run of 1.0 and a 300A alt with no issues, NEVER dropped below 13.3~ had some MINOR dimming with the lights/heat/AC etc... on but my voltage was up there so who cares...

Only time I dim is at idle. Doesn't bother me though. Probably doesn't dim as bad when my heats off too.

i getz no dimming i just got a back batt and a good amp. and i dont have my gain all the way up and blast my sh it at night .

i ran a zx2500 and a rf 300-2 off my stock alt w/o the big 3 and i didnt dip below 13.0 with lights on

it doesn't drop at all without the lights or heat on unles i'm at idle, and it doesn't drop bad with one or the other on, the 130 amp alt and batts are stock brand from advanced their not high current or kinetiks or anything, its a ford ranger, with knu klmx wire with tsunami 1/0 for the big 3 from scotty, this is about my 3rd or 4th set up so i have a fairly well understanding about what i'm doing, and i'm going by the voltage meter on my gauge cluster..

theres your answer. you're on idle. gtfo of idle. i never play my shit while im on idle, at least til my electricals get upgraded.

but if your case, you seem to have decent electricals.

maybe it be wired wrong.

Alt sucks... batteries probably aren't great either...

tell me teh trunk battery is at least a sealed battery...? don't think they stock anythign sealed other than Optima...

My car had a 120A~ stock alt and was putting out only like 60A~ at idle, the new one puts out about 130A~ at idle and close to 300A max (IIRC they got like 27X out of it at 6K engine RPM)

i donno man, are u sure u have good grounds, it may look like it but check w/ a dmm ne ways. but y would u get another stock alt when u could get alot better one for a few bux more?
