You set on that SAZ? You can find used DC's, AQ's, or Crescendo's for $600 or under. Actually, Crescendo BC3500's are $679 brand new. And what size alternator you have? If you've got a decent sized battery now, it's probably smarter to spend that $500 you had allocated for batteries on an alternator.

The battery up front is stock, so at the least a D2400 up front and an alternator.. hmmmm about the same price as 2 batteries and better over all. You know what board the BC3500 uses?

Yeah man, with a 3.5k and a beefy 4 channel, batteries just aren't going to cut it if you want to listen to the system for any length of time. You're drawing way too much for your alt to recharge those batteries.

I don't know what board the BC3500 uses. I thought I seen it compared to another 3.5k somewhere, maybe @TaylorFade?

After I get some $$ together I wanna upgrade to an AQ3500 for my SA8s

AQ 3500 in the classifieds with toolmaker dual inputs for 570 I believe IIRC

You'll need two group 31s, they don't have to be XS power, other people make batteries, too.. And for a hell of a lot cheaper, call it 300

And you're gonna want an ALT. I suggest an DC XP270, I freakin love mine. Run you about 3 bills used.

Then subs. I leave you at 1170 before subs, way less than 2 k if you sell your current amp and sa8

I'm not sure what actual PCB it uses, but a 5500 looks undeniably similar (identical) to my Cactus 5k. I can't think of any amps the bc3500 looks like, but it's not as beefy as my D5 or B2 Zero.5. Close to an AB 200.1 though.

Ok, good info. What about that BC3500 compared to an AQ3500, SAZ3500 or a DC 3.5k? OP had those in mind as well.

LOL, I hear this all the time with a single 8" setup.
However, you should have plenty of room to run a few more and increase power if you want.

That certain "gotta be different" factor only goes so far, right? IMO, there is just no substitution for cubic inches. I love the sound of Fifteens, myself.

If you're set on going with 4 8s, for all around loud I would look in to DD1508s. I've 4-5 different 8" set ups and the DDs impressed me the most. 4 1508s on 3-3.5k could be very loud! I think i'm going to keep an eye out for any reputable 3.5K, I remember the old BC 3K used the same board as the SAZ3K.. I wonder what other brands use the 3.5K board that the SAZ does. Yeah. You might as well call the AQ and SAZ a 4k. The newer AQ3500's is an great value. I had a DC3.5 and wasn't impressed. I mean, it did rated but it wasn't as strong as my D5 (which it should be for the price).

what was your budget for a 3.5k amp ? i might sell my aq only had it hooked up for like 2 weeks i want more power.
