What the fawk are you guys talking about? All-star game has come and gone now and he was on the all-star team. He got hurt and they had to make a injury replacement for him. He still made it though. Happens a lot come allstar game. Their were a few others to this year, names not coming to me though.

Where does it say that you are automatically invited to the all star game the next year if you were the MVP in the prior season?

The reason Nash has made it is not becasue of his previous MVP year, but because he is just that good.

he is voted in by the fans. and it doesnt say that, but as mvp people notice that. they watch him more and notice him, people start to like him if they didnt already. more likely then not, if you were mvp, you are gonna be a fan favorite or get favored to be in the all star game. i agree nash has been playing like a god. he makes his teamates better along with himself and they win games. right now im voting nash for MVP, three in a row. im not trying to start an argument, i was just saying, if you were mvp you are gonna get favored by the fans. but steve is a great player and deserves all of it.

Like this year, Shaq getting the nod at center, not only was he on the team, he started. I mean the guy was hurt almost all of the first half. I personally think if you get hurt and are not playing up to par, you should not make it. All star games are more about who you like anymore when it should be based on who is having the best year at their positions.

Like I said though is more a popularity contest and money venue than anything. Have to admit, I thought this years all star game was pretty good. Seem to be getting better, cause the last few years have been ******* IMO.

the game is for the fans and the fans vote for the starters and if they wanna see shaq, they'll vote for shaq
