Stetsom Vs Sundown

I second this. It's annoying for people like Chris, who work on amps every single day to read this crap. If you don't know what you're talking about, then do not talk about it.
Well, it turned into a huge flamefest with the AQ bunch and then I even had a stalker thread in which someone paid $50 to have him banned for life... It was straight up retarded... yes people don't like me saying anything, like I'm gonna single handedly ruin their business or something... The products are supposed to speak for themselves so when people get all bent out of shape about me pointing out differences, they are scared, and they can **** it... but for the sake of keeping order here, I'll keep the info to myself.

And then people *****ed and said I wasn't proffesional about my comments... So what.... Good product, good work > professionalism (fluff)... I don't do fluff, I am an *******.

I personally think it's funny because no one seems to have a clue about anything except a few select members.

I understand , I went back and I read some of your old posts, and one thread in particular where the Kicker guy got bent all out of shape for u having one of the kicker KX amps on your worst designed amps list . boy was he mad, loll that was some funny stuff there. but i know what you mean by not saying nothing

Oh that's right I forgot if you don't have a crap load of post you know nothing I guess. I do not spend all my time on forums because I have way more important thing to do. I have played plenty much with both the DD and Stetsom product and very little with Sundown, but I still know Sundown makes a great product. IF you do not like my suggestion than that's your problem but from my testing for comp vehicles and everyday system installs the info I posted is what is. And since you know so much more than me what would be your choices and why? The guy simply asked for suggestions and I gave mine which came from hands on playing and testing

Do you repair amplifiers? Do you know how they operate? Didn't think so. Until you know, your personal preference and ignorance will not make your points valid. Please stop talking.

Lo,l funny how easy it is to find the idiots on here cause all they do is bash the people who actually try to help someone with a question and actually never give any input to the question itself. Talk about ignorance my suggestion was not based on personnal preference but instead hands on. But back on track unless you want to try and offer some suggestions to the question at hand STFU, so tired of punk *** kids who think cause they come on a forum and do nothing but sell some used product and have a high number of post think they have a clue.

1ST- DD M3 (most power and clean)2ND- SUNDOWN (2nd most power and clean)

3RD- STETSOM (not clean power and most do not have subsonic filter also not very stable below rated ohm)

Just my opinion
Your opinion is in fact at fault because you have no idea how clean any of these amps are. You said you were a DD dealer, so naturally, DD will be the best. Sundown is new to this market but not as new as Stetsom. That's exactly how you rated the amps with absolutely no idea of how clean the audio is that is coming from these amps.

Punk *** kid? Sure.... hands on? Did you scope those amps? Do any testing? No you are assuming based on piss poor inferences. I don't want to give input, I just want the OP not to receive bad or stupid, useless input. You know, the kind that comes from people like you. And if you're going to be childish and try to insult me, try harder. My girl's two year old comes up with better come backs than you do. Take your knowledge over to SMD. They could use it over there.

Ok well since you were there for my testing and how I did my testing lets do this by the notes then, and you cannot tell me a 1K5 is more power than a 2K6. I never did any RTA testing on the amps but the Stetsom amp had a 12 db crossover, hard turn on and off pop and the cooling fan was very loud. Now obviously these power specs do not say any company is better than another simply since all these amps are obviously not rated to be equal in power. If you wanted to have a test of 3 like rated amps from these companies it would be the DD M3, Sundown 2500, and Stetsom 2K5 1 ohm version. So obviously of the 3 the Sundown is the easiest on the electrical system and the Stetsom is the hardest.

DD M3 amp tested using a single 15" 9515 .75 ohm mono 14.1 volts dropping to 12.3 imp rise to 2.1 ohms= 2147 watts

Sundown 2000 tested on same sub .75 rising to 1.9 ohms 14.0 volts dropping to 12.5= 1964 watts

Did not test Stetsom 1k5 but tested Stetsom 2K6 clipped at .75 ohm since it is a 2 ohm rated amp

Stetsom 2K6 at 2 ohm mono rising to 4.3 ohms 14.1 volts dropping to 11.83= 2021 watts

And the punk *** kids comment is not solely geared towards you but in general with this forum and most others as well. I have been in this industry for a long time and never claim to know everything by any means but everything I decide to comment on is NEVER out of speculation and I always do actual testing on my products. If I need to start using the RTA on amp testing I guess its time to break it out and use it for some testing too.

Yes, they are on par.. most of the time the reason they get a bad rep is people running them with shit for electical and clipping the crap out of them... Have fixed ALOT of maxxsonics amps... Mostly vibration damage, power wires hooked up backwards etc....

lol

Well I understand the information from your tests but none of them really measure the quality of the output signal. Maybe you should have not mentioned that. I do agree with you, the Stetsoms ****, they are power hogs and unreliable. I've dealt and worked on them first hand. Sundown stuff is hard to beat for the and built very well. DD stuff is also very high quality and built extremely well.
