STEREO SHUTS OFF...NEED HELP!! :o)

I have a KEH-P780 Premier Pioneer stereo. I have my XM and a 12 disc changer hooked up to it also.

Lately, when I go over bumps and stuff, it will shut off the stereo. When I push the source button, only the radio will come on and the XM tuner and CD don't even show up. Other times they do.

I don't think it is a loose wire cuz none of my settings get erased?? If I push in on it, it seems to get it working most of the time.

Can somebody give some advice as to what the problem might be?

well even if your settings are still intact that only means your constant 12v is fine....recheck everrthing....thats all im sure any1 could help u with...nothin further

might be the remote cable running from the HU to the changer...

$10 says its the ground to the HU. I had the same problem with my deck. And I reattached the ground cuz it was loose, and it stopped happening.

I had a similar. Mine was my deck's speaker wires in back shorting to the metal caseing and shutting the deck off every time I hit a bump. It had worked fine for months earlier, one of the wires must have just gotten positioned just right over time. It was my fault for not taping them up when I cut them, I figured it wouldnt be a problem.

If it was the fuse it would stay off. it only goes off over bumps. read the thread.
