Stereo-Mono Operation

I know that the newer X series amps were 2 ohm stable and made more power at 4 ohms than the respective USA series amps. They put out the same amount of power, just at different impedences. The old school (long *** mofos) didnt come with built in crossovers, although some of the more pricey amps had variloud controls.

I am hoping that the same carries true for the old school USA -400X although I have never seen a spec sheet so I dont know the power.

I emailed us amps but they never got back to me. I dont have my third W7 yet (just 2 at the moment) so I may just end up running 2 W7s at 3 ohms per channel just to give the USA-400X some breathing room.

Would be nice if all 3 could be utilized.

Based on the bit of experience that I have with the 10W7, not much experience but enough, you'll likely want more power. Pretty well positive that the 400X is still only 200Wx2 its just a little more underrated than the 400. I would guess power in the 300W range at 3 ohms.

dude, lol. Go look at that ebay auction i posted. I have the OLD one, the specs are way different.

Power aside, I think im only going to run 2 JLs.
