I saw it yesterday and it looks GREAT - love it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Pretty close to the V.3 Mag, yes. The T/S are VERY close as well as the coil to gap geometry.Isn't the Sundown Z series almost the same as the old mag besides a 3rd mag? diff softparts but the motors very sim.
Ahh yes, a spider with progressively larger rolls does provide a linear restoring force. It's one of those drive on a parkway/park on a driveway things. The rolls change shape, but the compliance of the spider itself is not progressive. The end result is a compliance curve that isn't a curve at all, it's a straight line, which is perfect for a sealed only driver.
LOL!! Good analogy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifAhh yes, a spider with progressively larger rolls does provide a linear restoring force. It's one of those drive on a parkway/park on a driveway things.
Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifNice work with the parts matching.
It seems to me that if you have the room behind the driver to run it infinite baffle, you wont be required to use a shallow mount sub in most cases anyway. Designing this sub as a sealed-only driver was smart, it fits most applications a 'shallow mount' is intended for.Sexy. I take it the blue on the outer XBL^2 gap is some form of a shorting ring? Nice touch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Too bad your drivers wouldn't work IB, well they would work but probably not well, or they'd be my next driver choice for sure.
Good point there. Plus there are some really nice IB drivers already out there. The Fi IB3 looks promising as does the AE IB15.It seems to me that if you have the room behind the driver to run it infinite baffle, you wont be required to use a shallow mount sub in most cases anyway. I agree, but my only qualm with the drivers I'll be using is that they are 40lbs a piece, even without a box for them they still add quite a bit of weight. It seems to me that if you have the room behind the driver to run it infinite baffle, you wont be required to use a shallow mount sub in most cases anyway. I have never actually heard of that. I used UGNX 3 in school, they are already up to version 5 since 2005 however, lol. It's a secret. MUHAHAHAHA!!!!
J/K. I use Alibre to model the 3D renderings.
