Stereo headunit recommendations

Hey all!

Looking for an aftermarket head unit for 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the DVD screen and Bluetooth Streaming/Handsfree Calling functions. I've looked at Kenwoods, Pioneers, and Alpines.

I've searched these forums and also watched a ton of YouTube vids. I basically want one that fully supports an iPhone 5s with bluetooth music streaming (with song titles and artists on screen) and voice activated phone/contact list accessibility via bluetooth. Many of the vids I've watched have a USB wire that must be installed and connected to iPhone and I do not want this. I want fully bluetooth streaming that syncs as soon as I enter the vehicle.

Any suggestions for this? I really appreciate the advice!

Pioneer NEX units will do everything you asked for. They also will give you the option of using Apple CarPlay via the Lightning cable if you ever feel like a change.
Thanks man! Do you recommend a certain model #? i had read some models require a firmware update and I don't want to deal with that, basically because the instructions i've found online require you to use a windows 7 laptop with bluetooth to transfer the files and i only have a MacBook. Do you know any model that already has the firmware thats needed and the AVRCP 1.4??

The first firmware update was released a month ago. I don't know if any models ship with a CarPlay-ready firmware. I can make sure the head unit has the latest firmware. It doesn't require Bluetooth at all to do the update. The computer's operating system does not matter either. I've used AVH-4000NEX for several months. There isn't much of a difference between 4000NEX and 8000NEX besides navigation, the glass screen and the yet-to-be-released AVIC-SYNC feature. The other NEX models have small differences, most noticeably a smaller screen on 5000NEX and 6000NEX. 7000NEX exists as the step-down model from 8000NEX.

I second this. I have a NEX-5000 in my subie and i love the thing. Only puts out around 20 watts RMS to each channel so i have a 5 channel hooked to it. But i would suggest the 5k if you want navigation included. The 4k is cheaper without navigation.
