Stereo ground wire

I installed my Clarion head unit like a month ago and when I connected the ground wire to the metal with a screw the ground wire made some sparks like if it had electricity ( my battery and ACC wires were already connected) I connected my 12V tester to the ground wire and the light bulb on the tester went on but not all the way. I fished installing it and it works just fine.

Is it normal that the ground wire on a stereo has electricity? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'll put it this way. If you didn't have 12V on your negative line, you wouldn't have a circuit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
