Step-by-step how to frost plexi

Do you have to use the LED's or do you think a short, like 3" neon stick would work also??
A neon cathode will work well too.

I've used neon cathodes to light up my plexigalss chair mat and it looks pretty sweet at night....

whats a neon cathode, when ever i do any lighting i usualy make led srips with 5000mcd LED lights, it works really well and its cheap,

are neon cathodes brighter or cheaper or whats the difference?

Very nice man , Your hands are steadier than mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Vinyl templates and steel wool work pretty good as well . I also polish the edges of the plexi with a torch , then paint all of them except where the leds are white . Gives it a pretty cool effect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

With a dremel it seems like it would not give you an even "pattern" to the etching. This could be a good or bad thing depending on what you are going for.

The best uniform frosting would come from sandblasting or chemical etching.

For an art project I just taped off the acrylic sheet and sanded with some high grit sand paper.

Pics? I would like to see that effect. Sounds like a good idea.

i used to do an older school version of "frosting" plexi.

You talking about the torch , or the spray on etching ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You can use the negative portion of a vinyl sticker if a logo is needed. Make sure to tell the sticker guy to invert it so the sticky is on the right side.

A sandblaster is the best tool if you want a consistent etch
