Based on the positive reviews from this website I put in an order at online car stereo for two items back in January. One item showed up within a week as ordered, the other (a Kicker wiring install kit) ended up being on backorder.
After two weeks, I emailed them for an ETA and was told it would ship around February 20th at the latest.
Of course, the wiring kit never shipped out. As I can not install my stereo without wiring I have been trying to cancel my order. They have a delightful policy where you can not cancel any order via email.
Three times over the last week I have waited on hold for 30 minutes at a stretch for someone to pick up the phone before I became discouraged. That may not seem like a long time, but when you have to press "1" every 25 seconds to renew your call it gets old fast.
Today, after 26 minutes on hold, I was able to get a live person on the line to cancel my order. They say that it was canceled, but refuse to send me an email confirmation that it was canceled.
The kicker (pun intended) is that the item has been for sale the entire time, with no mention of it being on backorder.
The turnaround service for in stock items is great, but you are pretty much screwed if something is on backorder. They really need to hire more people to answer the phone.
