i recently got four new 3-way speakers, two in my rear and two in my door panels. When i started up my headunit and heard them for the first time, they were a great improvment over my stocks. However, i started noticing a background static a few days later, and im fairly certain it's coming from the tweeter part of the speakers. I like listening to my music loud, but not deafining loud, and my daily driving consists of only about 10 minutes at a time so i don't think i blew them. The static only plays when a song is playing, and it's most auible when there are hardly any other sounds in the song. The static is constant, it kind of sounds like "snow" on television sets only not quite as loud. I recently replaced my aftermarket headunit for a new top of the line after market headunit and the static still persists in all speakers, even though besides the static the speakers sound much better with the new headunit. I'm gonna try running a new speaker wire from the headunit around the car to one of the back speakers tommorow to eliminate the speaker wire as the problem. Im basically just praying it's not the speakers because they cost a pretty penny. Any ideas of what is causing the static would be helpful.
