Well, I first thought... ehh these volfenhag 15's should be just fine for a bit until I get serious about this again. That was 2 days ago and im ready to pitch them lol.

I need your help with a decent setup of subs for the back of my 95 caravan. This is a van I use to promote my R/C website, going to and from races every weekend, so interior space isn't a real concern for me. I did have (8) 12" MTX 4500's in the back (firing up) and it was incredible... But I wanted more so I dug out some volfenhag 15" subs and proceeded to build "the wall".

This thing sounds terrible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I've got them in prefab sealed boxes at about 2.2cu/ft per sub pushed with an audiobahn A2300HCT (2400w RMS). Seriously, the 8 12's pushed by Infinity 611A (678w RMS) felt 2-3 times louder than what I have now. Wish I would have left well enough alone... but noooooo!

If you had a clean slate... and open van... and about a grand to spend. What would you do? I don't want "Oh man that's loud (bass)", I want "Holy mother of God THATS VIOLENT" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif which is kinda what I felt with the 8 12's.

Sub type?

Sealed / Ported?

Amp? (keep the audiobahn)

Firing up or wall?

Teach me o wise ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

18" TC 5200? drool...

4 15" TC-1000s?

Massive Audio DMX line, perhaps. Depends what type of violence you want... just hard hitting SPL, or like really deep freaking bass, do you want any SQ?

if you liked the old set up so much id say build it the same again, otherwise you might be dissapointed by not getting 'that' sound back.

voolfgang? ....??? wtf were you thinking?

ill trade you a pair of rl-ps for a nice electric rock crawler?

sorry, no rock crawlers in my stash... mostly dirt oval and offroad, electric and nitro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was thinking of building the same setup I had before but the MTX subs were the bottom of the barrel kinda thing and if I do the 12's again I'd like something a bit more powerful, and dual voice coils would be easier to configure my amps around.
