seems a little steep to me for 160 amps...

what do you guys think?

With the 1700 w RMS amp I got and the IDmax 12 and my deck

plus my scanner and my ham radio

do I have enough i I buy that?

Ohio genmakes great alts just a little on the pricey side. Check out meangreen. You can get a 200amp for $360, Very reliable and well built.

I got a 200 amper for less than 200 bucks. If you check em out you may not find your exact alt on the site. Just call em. BTW, great customer service. I had an issue with the first alt they send me. Voltage regulator was acting up so I called them adn the same day they had a new one on the way with postage in the box to send the old one back. Took 2 days to get the new one. Been running strong for over a year now.

Yup.

Replaced/Sent back a dozen in the past year...

New alternators even come with a birthsheet stating that they do DICk at idle... and don't even get near ful output until super high RPM's.
