Starting a Car Audio Company

This site does have some bright people on it. I myself will be employing someone I met on here, and I'm confident the product will turn out very well.
Nothing to do with subs though.
Agreed. I've met quite a few intelligent people. I'm not stating in any way that Ca.com isn't intelligent. Many people are great at what they do but many people are closed minded and can't seem to get around what they've been taught their whole lives

You would really give a multi-million dollar business to a recent college graduate to run for you? you've got a lot to learn. school only takes you so far. Experience is quite the neccessity.
Oh lord no. Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I would guide some like myself not just any college graduate from an Ivy League school. I would take them under my wing and teach them everything I know.

And yes, it would be from a marketing standpoint for the most at the current moment. Unless it is monumental enough for me to give up my current businesses, I can't work 80+ hours a week

Out of curiousity, what do you do for Steve at Zed and what is your name?

Being out of high school it is noce oyu have hig hopes and dreams, but inreality you will be shoveling shit and sweating for nothing. Anyone can say they have a web business, I know pot heads that do and will make a site for a dime bag.

As for a commission based marketing manager with no experience or money, you are going to get a lot of laughs. Reality is a ***** this day in time.

you call yourself a web designer, yet you took two fonts, two colors, and slapped them on a black background. i think youre full of yourself bro. what do you even know about car audio?

I'm simply developing his website and my name is Jim

You have some good thoughts but that is not the reality since Im already much further than that. And yes, a lot of people pick up odd end jobs that require little investment but realize that I run a company. I don't work from project to project. The main source of income is from contracted work in which I budded on and one. And no, I'm not a one man job. I have people I subcontract to and if they prove worthy, I'll hire them PT or FT

So what degrees and qualifications do you have that would make you desireable to a company? I am sure you are college educated but I would like to know your credentials.
Since when does college inflict on what your education is?

LOL Isnt it cute? Ace an accounting and marketing highschool class and I guess you are ready for the big time yet others with masters degrees are out of work. I think you better go to college and finish your education before you think about something like this.
College is a joke, if I or my parents had invested 30-40$k into a non-refundable joke, I too would be quite upset.

I am a engineering major.. will be getting my masters and I honestly do not think anyone with my education level or higher would take a venture with a high school graduate with a business proposition and a good knowledge of using a thesaurus. If you so desire to do something like this, go to college as a marketing major, or better yet since you have such a vast apprehension of business already, why not just go to school to be an engineer, preferrably mechanical or civil so you could then sharply tune your skills into vibration engineering or acoustical engineering, and take the car audio world by storm?
Whats with all these college bound nut huggers thinking it takes loads of money or some specialy named university to teach you the same shit you could learn off a fucking computer.? Who says we even need a college education to suceed in life? That person who came up with that slogan is a fucking moron! Since when does the sucess in life come at a price to pay for you to be able to be coincider by fellow Americans as knowledgable just because you went to college? When did life have to be all about greed? Why is sucessfullness measured on the amount of income? As I recall the Constitution says "And The Pursuit of Hapiness". Life is all about being happy and knowing you dont need money to make yourself better.

I'm getting to the point where my attitude regarding college is starting to parallel my views on religion: Follow your calling but, for fuck's sake, don't evangelize to me the importance of education. Higher learning is like good company; it has it's merits but having to pay for it is really nothing to brag about. What could I possibly learn for $40,000.00 that I couldn't otherwise research online or at a local library?

What is commonly referred to as "education" isn't so much what you know, rather how long you've learned for and whom you've learned from; a quantifiable sentence of scholastic trial following which you are deemed "educated," even if you bare the intellectual stamina of a retail clerk. And all for what? A fighting chance to settle your debt by working someplace where your skill, your talent, your life experience, even your ambitions take a back seat to the number of years you spent in the classroom? Are you fucking serious?

Right about now is when I begin to hear all the counter-arguments from the offended college apologists, desperately defending the practice of paying for their education. Well, no shit! If I had thirty or forty grand sunk into a nonrefundable venture, I too would have a strong interest in promoting the idea that I'm in some way investing in my future; some people simply need the training wheels on a bit longer than others.

The OP obviously seems quite out of his range, but if you have the money and know the right people then why not? No need to bring "college education" into it. I did'nt take one semester of college before I dropped out to make more money. Just my .02 cents

Since you are apparently unaware of how color choice is influenced by psychology, white and red on a black background genrally appeals to the more

masculine side of males. Most of the car audio industry is of the male gender.

I know very little compared to someone like David from Team PSI. As I've said before, car audio is not my Niche. I am simply an avid hobbiest who is also a businessman

Any other attacks? Some are quite insightful but I find others quite humurous so keep them coming //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

TNT you have some very good points. Excellent analogy. 14% of our billionaires didn't graduate college. Just becuase you haven't been to the classes and recieved the credits does not mean you can't complete the job.

On the other hand, having a college education definitely helps.

dude you took two already made up fonts (real web designers make their own) and you just slapped them together. ANYONE can do that. how does that make you a web designer? you stated you are just finishing highschool. how are you a businessman then? are you an entepreneur of some company? you have a name and banner for a car audio company that doesnt even exist. youre just like the millions of kids who try to make clothing companies but never succeed because their products and designs ****. but in this case, you want to hire someone off of mommy and daddys money to build subwoofers for you. i think if someones going to have a car audio company, id prefer it not to be someone who can name brands, but someone who can actually put a subwoofer together themself. i cant take you seriously.

Ultimately, I'm going to run a Company that purchases other companies and then reguts them and either resells them or keeps them. If I keep them, I'll higher someone similar to myself who is graduating college, offer him a nice salary and good incentives for future businesses to run. Essentially, I would be expanding without using up to much time.
But as for now, I'm more than willing to help other companies be more successful. As I've said before, I'm after a win-win relationship
Nice Spelling.

Sexist.

Grammar

It seems to me you want to put minimal risk and ask someone else to put all the risk into something. You want to risk your time and let someone else put up the capital. I understand that you can market some stuff and do advertising but if websites and banner ads is all you'll do then there is no point. If someone needs to have advertising handled they should hire someone who has already established lines in other areas of advertisement other than the web. Also i dont understand how you operate businesses without a degree in business management. Do you pay people to handle finances ? Do you even get paid like a business would or just cash ? Im not trying to be a dick but more discuss what this seems like and to get things straightened out.

You wouldn't happen to be friends with Lambo911 would you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

No. Not even sure who lambo is.

But you don't need a business degree to run a business. I'm farther than most seniors majoring in business. And I have established myself in other areas than just web design and marketing.

By the way, maybe I'm wrong, but it should be hire.

And my apologies. I'm still on my iPhone
