Just wondering, how can i attenuated that syllabies (is it how it's prononced?) as it tend to be anoying on few tracks, like "my life" from the game, but only on it's verse. Lil Wayne sound nice tough!

My front speakers are cdt cl-6 woofers with tw25 tweeters, crossed passively at 3k with my vc-100 crossovers (satnet-400 doesn't like 300watt rms/side). Woofers are on bottom of the door

Tweeters are in the a-pillar, no attenuation on crossovers but -3 treble on my clarion headunit (don't know where the treble cross)

Otherwise it sound fantastic, but can be a little peaky with S sound. I can eq with my cowon d2 mp3 player or maybe i,ll buy a cheap but nice eq (was thinking clarion one)

power: 300watts rms to each crossover //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif they love it, and when they get smelly , it's time to turn it down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Mb quart p4100 bridged to 2 channel.

mlstrass , thank for the answer. Do i need to cut them all? i'll guess trial and error will be the best solution

It's a lot more annoying on this particular track , and with that particular artist. The track are encoded in mp3 in 224kps btw.

Lil Wayne album sound's all nice. Young jeezy tend to SSSS more like the game, but otherwise i can't think about any other artist voice that annoy me with this setyup

thanks for the anwsers, i guess it will help somebody else someday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

normally 5, 8, 12.5Khz are the freqs I cut to tame it down, but some songs will have it NO matter what as that's just how the person sings...
This is close to what I adjust to reduce sibilance (the correct spelling for the "Sss" sound). I found that a mid Q adjustment around 3.5-5 and the harmonics of those seem to work well for it.

If you set your 4th band to cut some around 4.1k and the 6.9k on the 5th band (if that's possible) it should help some.

I found that tweeter placement can be HUGE in reducing sibilance. In my Integra, the sibilance is horrible, even with the most laid back tweeters, if they're placed high on the doors. They're not bad on the dash and actually sound pretty good near the kicks aimed up.

knowing the name of phenomen always help when it come to search about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

from wiki

: Sibilants are louder than their non-sibilant counterparts, and most of their acoustic energy occurs at higher frequencies than non-sibilant fricatives. has the most acoustic strength at around 8,000 Hz, but can reach as high as 10,000 Hz. [ʃ] has the bulk of its acoustic energy at around 4,000 Hz, but can extend up to around 8,000 Hz

so i guess playing around 6,9k or 9khz should help a lot

I'll try this once i leave my job and post back tommorow with the result
