If you put a JL on the dust cap, I bet cotjones would buy a pair to use for teh high bass... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

Nice looking subbie there... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

what kind of range of rms are you thinking on the 8".. like in what range would you say, just from the proto model. What's your outlook on that?
We have an approx goal, but testing will give us a better idea. Plus we can make a few tiny adjustments that could possibly increase power handling a little.

You need to post more. Cotty hasn't been around in a while

I'm assuming something around that of the RL-i/TC-1000's 500w RMS.

Any chance these will come in a D4 or S2?

The one in the pictures is a dual4. That is what we will start production with, if we need to add a different coil option then we will see about it then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Cool. That means as long as these have similar power handling to the RL-i, I won't have to switch out my amp.

Update: The super8 testing is going pretty well, it is doing fine now, but the one major limiting factor is the basket. We are going to have to move to an upgraded basket to really let this driver do what we really want it to do. The current one is limiting its capabilities and we really want this driver to stand out, and to reach that goal we have to switch baskets, along with a few other little tweaks.

Bad news: Adjustments pushes production back a while, and it raises our cost some.

Good news: Adjustments will show a noticeable improvement in performance across the board, end cost will stay the same and not be effected by the changes.
