No when ppl switch they gain in the 38hz + range.. Just like if someone switched from zv3 to a zv4 they would gain in the lower hz.

Absolutely not.. Put SA series in and peaked at 39hz switched to zv4 and peak dropped to 33hz..

Funny how on other sites Sundown can do no wrong. If people can not see that then you might as well be blind. There was obviously enough people who didn't like the sound that Jake came out with an explanation of its sound so people would settle down. Take it as you will. I gave the x-12 4 boxes for it to show me something and didn't like any of them. It was muddy. Some may like that sound and I am not saying the sub is bad. I will however voice my opinion that if the subs mentioned in the op are the options then the x is at the bottom of the list. If you run the specs of the X and the Flatlyne for example, the X should be even more to my liking of low end extension. Put them in the boxes though and the Flatlyne will walk all over it in quality of sound generated.

Ya the zv4 Is a monster on it's own level. 12" next to OA 18"

if you want smashing lows its not rocket science its simple. go with an xcon, or havoc, or even a zv4 and tune to 29hz in a huge box. like the max size for the sub you choose

In IB, the X played a kick drum pretty good. I don't think it was an insult..

Both great drivers but I do agree about what they play it being decaf or rap songs. I've iwned a few now. But if you're wanting a more "normal" sound just put the spl surround on it.

I have a x-10 and ordered it through SSA last Dec. 2014. I thought it was alright, it makes me miss my 12 FI Q, ED 13av.2, and Havoc though. Definitely gonna try a 12 xcon by the end of this year. SSA, lookout for my order soon. Peace!!

I do, too on the X-10. I listen to all kinds of music, going from Boys 2 Men, Jagged Edge, Nick Lachey to what ever moves the soul and it was ok. Jagged Edge got the good lowzzz. Lol!!!
