1st. Hi

isnt this how we all meet, when stuff goes wrong

details of system

92 ford bronco

1 kicker kx200.2

2 kicker kx1200.1

2 kicker L7 12's 1ohm load per amp

1 power accoustic 6.5 comp. system(i think, box is at home)

problem:

on my kx200.2 powering my 6.5 comp

have a squel when gain is turned up to 1/4, only on left channel

this is what i have done so far.

1.removed speakers from door and place on tail gate and tested

2.replaced... rca, head unit( it needed it), wires

if this helps:

1.speakers are softer on right side, are harsh on left side

2.noise doesnt happen when i unplug left rca, speaker still hooked up

3.no squil when low pass is on, only on off and high

other than those, spl is awsome:crazy:

theres some other threads on this i think

1st your hu might not be grounded good.

2nd if one side is louder than other then your balence on ur hu might be off try to adjust it

i starting to think the samething...bad channel

tried the ground idea frist, just forgot to mention it

i bought it off a guy on ebay.

i contacted him today, he told me to send it back and he will refund or ship me out a differant one.

still have to test all idea's just incase he says its ok

taken to a local shop to have it look at., for proof //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

will keep you all posted

switch out amps with my other kx200.2 from other car..

the ****er is still there:crying:

i starting to think i should look into my grounding.

now:

2- 2gauge running 6 ft to same ground point

tomorrow:

2 into dist. block than to grounding point

if this isnt it than, i look into my crossovers

sounds like you have ground loop noise... if im not mistaken, its from separate electrical devices being grounded at different points, and it may be cuz ur amp and HU arent grounded at the same point... im no expert on grounds, but just my 2 cents based on what ive read... the forums have taught me a lot, but i too have a lot to learn. My amp in my acura does the same thing... i think i may have a blown channel though, but i dont have time to mess with it, the clutch is broken anyways so i dont drive it... lol
