Square vs Round Subwoofers

There is a guy out here doing like 158 on 6 l7 12s... but that is the exception, the guy who knows what hes doing. Ive been to 3 meca state finals; never seen square subs win a state championship

yeah 6 and tragik had 1 round 15 (now 2 12's) doing 150 lol..

come on man 6 vs 1 for 9 db.. we had 4 hcca 15 with hcca amps ported wall in back seat of car only did 151 and that was back in the day so today that would like 146db, not say that ain't loud but just look at 4 diff.. if i heard/ saw his 150 and saw a kicker truck with 6 L7 i think da*n that should hit 168 or so is all i'm saying..

The 3500 is a really good buy imo. Its 799, gets down to about 700 with holiday coupon codes...dual inputs, does almost 5k

I dont like square subs either. But expecting something to do 168 is beyond ridiculous.

On a side note you should go to a show if u have them locally. I think you will be surprised how loud upper 150s is. Hell, im at 151 with whats in my sig and that might seem loud to you

You're comparing 2 different size subwoofers. A 10 inch square WILL provide more bass than a 10 inch rounded, a 12 inch square WILL provide more bass than a 12 inch rounded.
Smaller subs like an 8 inch will hit lower notes more efficiently.

And yeah, no **** they both play sub bass:laugh: that's why they're called subwoofers

why would you try and post an informational post on a car audio forum about sub woofers when its obvious you have no idea what you are talking about?
