How many do most people have? One or two. Stick 1000w on a single ported sub, and it will get loud, really loud.

I have 2 Adire Audio Brahma 15"s. INSANELY LOUD but beatiful SQ as well. Im not a SQ guy at all but I bought the Brahmas because I wanted loud and CLEAN bass. All others reccomended are very nice as well as the Digital Designs 9500 and up series. Treo subs are mainly SPL but are very good SQ as well. Anything based on the XBL^2 motor structure will destroy MTX 9500, Kicker Solobarics, JL w7s, etc. And most the XBL^2 stuff is way cheaper.

Can't leave out the Powerbase or the DP. When installed correctly both are excelent drivers....

Your ears dictate what you think...there is no one motor topology that is superior to the other one. I might like xbl^2 but just because i do does not mean that i'm not open to other options that are on the table such as a different form of xbl^2 or just a regular straight gap...

If your gonna go with a single sub look at the TDX's, TIs, 9500s, cmpx2s, orion H2s or the xxx's. They all love power and do cost a purty penny.

Have you done a head to head comparison with any of these drivers.... especially in different alignements? Subs don't destroy each other.... people with knowledge destroy other's setups. XBL^2 is a nice invention, but some people like myself prefer the sound of a typical Long-Gap, Long-Coil motor structure.

No one mentioned these besides packerfan......they are based upon the same technology of an XBL^2 motor.... they came before, but use an underhung motor that makes the coil longer than the gap, thus preventing some of the harmonic distortion.

I totally agree...your ears do dictate what you think. Its just that I personally like the XBL^2 stuff. And I agree with you also in that I am totally open to other technologies/brands/etc. However I have to disagree with you that there are no superior motor structures. Think about it like this; whatever you think is better than something else IS better than something else, because that is your personal opinion. That is your own opinion, what you believe to be true, until you change that opinion, then something else is realized as truth.
It is foolish to say that all car audio is equal. That is what we have advanced technology for, to determine and prove to us, scientifically what IS better than another.

So to argue that anything is better, without any basis of scientific proof, and only opinon, and I admit to making this mistake, is just as foolish. You can try to sway people's opinions. And that is what the forum is designed for.

I went a lil overboard saying XBL^2 will DESTROY stuff. Its not like the sub is physically destroying anything, except my eardrums, and maybe some brain cells. But its all for the love of the (car audio) game. For that I apologize, I am just passionate about car audio. Maybe it was misdirected. My bad...

I'm not *****ing - just pointing out something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif XBL^2 is very cool very big fan of it actually (thanks dan/scott etc.), but its preformance can be closely (not exactly) reproduced/replicated with a HUGE top plate and a retardedly underhung coil...granted the moofer then weighs about 140lbs so therefore it is very impractical.
