Sql recommendation

Ok, so i'm building a system for a buddy of mine, and he wants to go for sql (will be ported with a tuning of 30-35 hz i figure). He want's 2 12's and i'm thinkin 4 ohm dvc and ~600 rms a piece so they can be powered with a viper 1200.1 or a orion 1200d. The brands that i came up with are: RE, Adire, Soundsplinter, Alpine, Stere Integrity Mag's, Incriminator Audio. Can someone recommend good subs from these brands, or other good sql brands (i know theres others). Price is not really an issue now as he does not know how much he wants to spend yet so i figure i'll get some options for him. Thanks in advance for any help.

2 rl-p's and an orion 2500d. 15's if he can fit em.
2 12's, 15's aint gonna fit. And i dont think he wants to spend that much on an amp.

the new mags are awesome drivers, the XXX is a great driver(but u will need alot more power and more room) havent had a chance to hear any other tho:(
What are the mag's rated at and how much do they cost? And would they be good for sql (all you said is that they are awesome so i'm not sure what you meant by that)?

Thanks guys so far on all ur input, anyone else have any input? I'd like to see some more good choices before i have him spend money on the stuff.

Edit: just noticed the msrp on stereo integritys website and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif , that's a bit out of his price range.

gets pretty loud its low end improved alot from the older ones, and its sq is great, in other word sq was better than my XXX and low end was allmost as good, but sq was bettter all around. i think its rms is 800 but 300 got it really loud and it took 1200 like a champ so from 300 and up.

Hmm, from what i've been reading on the forums these oz matrix elites are meant for higher powers...like ~1000 watts, would they sound good at 600 or would it be better to go for something else?

Also, how are the soundsplinter rl-p 12's for sql? And also the lethal injections? And RE SE's? Would those be good choices for sql?

And once again thanks for the input guys, and thanks for any more that you can give me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1000 plus watts on a woofer rated for 700? not that it couldnt handle it just shouldnt need it and from my experiences the me are alot like the idmax..
So, 600 watts gonna sound good or would something with a little lower power handling sound better?

depends on how you set it up. in 100% honesty you take advantage of any of these woofers optimally designed set ups you wont be disappointed at all. car audio performance in all honesty isnt about the product as much as it is about the install.

Get alpine type r 12's 4 ohms sub. Those are the biggest thing now, and from personal experience i suggest that u get it

shhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! with the type R's.

For SQ, and 500-600 watts per speaker..go with the RL'Ps, or the Ascendant Audio Avalanch's. I dont think the new ones are out yet, but they should be any time now.
