SQL Components?

I hope you know I'm just playin with ya Pete;) And also making fun of everyone who says that their system sounds so "amazing" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ....
hahha i know hence the //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif at the end of my post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

my image dynamics chameleon components get really loud and stay clean. i have them running at 125 rms per channel and i cant take them at fulll volume. Very good midbass and are very loud if you have power

Better than average at best //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif
BTW, how are those Infinity coaxials treating you?

I think that having speakers in the rear that are properly set up with T/A and such can raise the noise floor (or whatever you call it).

I blew them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif off headunit power, just drove them into clipping too often

lol.

What would you suggest personally, dizzle?

I have the type r's (05 model) and they sound really really good using an active setup, With the passives its another story. I was hesitant to try them in my car after all the negative things that I have heard about them, but after trying them i was really impressed. I got them from a guy that owed me some money or I wouldnt have gotten them. This is the best setup I have had in my car in a long time. The others I have had are adire, cdt, the infamous aura mobile reference. The tweeters with a little eq'ing and actively crossed are as nice as any I've heard. They bring out details in some songs that I didnt hear with any of the others even the aura tweets. The only hint of harshness is when they are full tilt and then its not any worse than any other tweeter.

Yea why is it everyone is down on the type r's.I have four SPR-574's 5x7's in my F-150 on a alpine MRV-540 and man do they get loud. And they are clear as hell.I can hear someones fingers sliding down the frets on a guitar on some music.Mids do **** though.I could pop them in a heart beat if I wanted if I really put any mid bass in them to speak of.I just use them for highs though.May be over powering with that amp but hell it's only turned up about 25% of what it's got.
