Message: <blockquote data-quote="dogears" data-source="post: 1484948" data-attributes="member: 554502"><p>I have the type r's (05 model) and they sound really really good using an active setup,  With the passives its another story.  I was hesitant to try them in my car after all the negative things that I have heard about them,  but after trying them i was really impressed.  I got them from a guy that owed me some money or I wouldnt have gotten them.  This is the best setup I have had in my car in a long time.   The others I have had are adire,  cdt,  the infamous aura mobile reference.  The tweeters with a little eq'ing and actively crossed are as nice as any I've heard.  They bring out details in some songs that I didnt hear with any of the others even the aura tweets.  The only hint of harshness is when they are full tilt and then its not any worse than any other tweeter.</p></blockquote><p></p>
