SQ system 3-way speaker help.

thank you very much for your reply.there are 3 adjustments per tweeter and midrange per crossover,so at least not completely flat.the xd 600/1 is only 400 watts at 4 ohms and thats @ 14.4 volts.i feel like the way the sub is acting it wants more power but cant get it without distorting at higher levels.couldnt i bridge the ks 300.2 and be getting more than the 600?and i would rather have a amp that has some head room and i am not using 80-90% gain.i feel like the ks 300.2 bridged or the 1000.1 would not work as hard for better results.would you replace the jl 300/2 with the ARC KS 300.2($175 shipped)ARC KS 1000.1($250.00 shipped).what about running a ARC EQ with the system for some added adjustments if keeping the crossovers?hood sound deadning?i have enough left over to do it.i have heard some REALLY good things about the ARC KS class G/H amps.

i like tight bass and was thinking of possibly going to a JL 10w7 instead of the 12w6v2-d4.or could the tightness of the bass be because sub is wanting more power and starts to get boomy.i want it to souns like a kick drum.i listen to rock 90% of the time.AC/DC,Zeppelin,pink floyd,Van halen, white stripes, ect.if that gives you an idea of the type of bass i want

All instruments naturally cover a wide range of frequencies. If you're not familiar, look up harmonics. If you could play a track of just a kick drum, your subwoofer is normally just making a dull thud with no real definition. The snap from a kick drum happens in higher frequencies. That means your midrange speakers have to really be doing their thing well for kick drums to pop.
