SQ Sub Recommendation

So I have some extra money to spend on a sub and I need a sub recommendation. I used to have a baffle with DLS OA12s in my car but the baffle just wasn't working for me (I might sell the car soon too). My friend and I built a fiberglass enclosure for the side and I would like something that isn't too big and that could fit in an enclosure 1cu ft or less. I was thinking Image Dynamics, but i'm not sure of what's out there. I want something with good SQ and something not to expensive. I liked the DLS I had but don't like the JL w3s I have (too muddy but they do hit hard which is sometimes nice to have). I listen to mostly rock, rap and dance. Either a 12" or 10" would work depending on what you think would be better for me. Thank you!

If you have the wattage the type x would work great. High powered SQ sub made for small sealed enclosures. Check it out. I love mine.

budget? otherwise I would suggest going with the Image Dynamics, IDQ's or look into the Stereo Integrity BMs. The IDMax and SI Mag are good chocies but both really require more then 1 cft.

maybe check into a Fi SSD 10? those actually sound really really nice sealed up. phenomenal sq.

kappa perfect 12.1 or 10.1 are nice and needs very little space.

My budget is $200 maybe $300 at most. Thanks for the recommendations. Is that the Type X as in from Alpine? Also someone suggested the 12in Reference woofer from http://www.diymobileaudio.com/. What's your take?

I am running one kappa perfect 10.1 in a small sealed box (.65) @ 400 watts. Hits and bass is tight.

Yeah, alpine... u can get a good deal and its sq is sick and gets loud in a small enclosure.
