SQ setup?

i hope thats not your daily driver lol. i know what it means owning a honda.

you have a good alarm in it?

that should be your first thing

find a local shop or a guy that knows alot. and i dont mean someone that offers his help, usually people that know alot dont offer help unless they see potential. you would have to ask him for help.

what kind of music u listen to? different size subs produce different type of bass.

whos gonna install all tha for you?

do you know what are the best crossover settings for those exact speakers?

are you gonna try to impress your buddys with bass or is it for your listening pleasure? personally i think 300-400RMS is more than enough in a hatch.(but im not deaf yet like alot of installers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you gonna have plenty of midbass if done right. i personally dont even have my sub on unless im blastin some stupid bass hiphop. otherwise i run my fronts passthru and thats enough for me.

different size subs do not produce different bass, just an 8 will not have as much output as bigger subs in theory, with a good install, box and clean power i think that would be plenty loud for you.

HAHA. What kinds of bass are there? Can you list them?
Wangin' bass, knocking bass, pounding bass, beating bass, bangin' bass, booming bass, poppin' bass, Mexican midget in the trunk bass... I guess those are different types of bass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Honestly, you can blow all that money and try tuning it yourself and find that a good passive set will sound a whole lot better due to your lack of experience. It's not to slam you, but you're going to be throwing money away.

Get a decent HU, and a good set of passives that you can run active in the future when you feel comfortable taking that on. As far as amps, probably the area where people waste the most money. Get something that puts out rated power.
