i hear that the recommended tuning for sq for a ported box is 28-30hz, but just wondering how much is it going differ from the sq of a sealed box? i know sealed boxes have a better transient response and ported generally have a higher output, but whats the difference going to be between a sq tuned ported box and a sealed box?

A ported box may seem "slower" to the ear

But properly designed and built, you can attain excellent sq with a ported box

This is also driver dependant, dont expect to get a woofer with a qts of .8 to sound good ported.

The key to sounding good in a ported box is

Low Q driver

Good design, and a quality build

You have roughly 50 liters total, which will probably work with that sub.
