Questions: I have a 12” x2 ported qlogic box . I added 2 more subs to the same box total of 4 . 12 inch subs reverse mounted . Facing / Firing down . Im adding a false wall flush with the car interior. I wanted to ask , the ports in the box , should I increase the size? Build a whole new box ? Putting 4 subs in the same enclosure I have 2 on a kicker cxa1800.1 amp , I intend on another but for now have a Hifonics Brutus elite 1750.1 . In the same box the 2 subs on the Hifonics amp are gonna be weaker -will there be more cancelling due to the subs not push as hard as the 2 others on the kicker . Should I seal off the subs from each amp from each other . And any details I can add to the box is appropriate. I know I’m all over the place , my grammar isn’t good at all , I wish I would have lived my life a lot better in a lot more ways than education but it is what it is . I’m free now and doing what I always wanted with and gonna have fun with the kids

That's probably too small by half for two of those square 12s.

You definitely don't want to be mixing and matching different sub amps, particularly not if the subs will share airspace. Ideally you will have one amp that powers everything so that you won't have to worry about gain matching. If I'm not mistaken those L7s are only like a 750W sub so I'd think Taramps SMART 3K or similar 3K full bridge offering would be a good pick for an affordable amp that would power those up well without too much worry of breaking subs.

The big issues I see here are that you probably do not have adequate electrical system to feed 3000W sub amp(s) and that you may not fully appreciate the sort of box you would want to come up with 15 cubic foot (or a bit more) net volume plus adequate port area. It will be big and heavy (or a proper wall built into the vehicle) and will require a good bit of lumber.

How comfortable are you with woodworking? What's your budget here?

Finally, if you plan to play music whatsoever, your goal is not "SPL".

For 4 L7- 12s,I would go at a min. of 12 Cu.Ft and try to tune towards 30-33HTZ, Subs Up , Port rear in that suv if you dont plan on doing any roof bracing and deadening. May have to end up doing some roof bracing anyways. But Deff you would need more power to get those subs to potential. A single Mono amplifier is the way to go. Gain matching is a real PITA most of the time. You could look at Strapping amps will work pretty nicely(Same Brand, same power) All subs need be the same configuration

Ok thank you . I’m gonna try to sell the Amos I got and get a bigger one .

I’m mediocre at wood work . My brother can help me out . The budget . I try my best to keep it min.
What I’ve got now I’ve got like $300 in on what I got .I can get the wood , the amp- im gonna try to sell what I got . Im pretty sure I come up with 450 for the kicker and hifonics . Do you think I can find an amp for around that? My family dosnt have a budget built in for me . But if if it’s around that range I’ll figure out something. I’m not really sure about the spl . I’m pretty much into it for the bass I don’t really care about music

Taramps Bass 3K is probably the most affordable solution to power 4 L7s, but you would need at least one additional battery to properly feed it. Not sure what 3/4" ply or MDF costs these days but I'd want to figure 4 sheets plus a few boxes of screws and a case of construction adhesive to start building any sort of C-pillar wall.

You're not going to spend 100$ in lumber and 350$ on an amp and be beating down the block with those subs. Honestly if you're not ready to dig deep into your wallet you might want to learn to walk before you try to run here and keep 1 of those amps and attempt to build 1 proper box for them and see what happens.

"SPL" competition involves playing only 1 tone as loud as possible for 3 seconds. I'm very confident whatever you have in mind isn't that.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...
