SQ HDC4 15" amp?

Hi guys recently I bought one HC4 15D1 to use in a spl competition and I want to get a good score in the termlab.

The box that I planing to build is tuned to 45hz in a 3.89cuft with a single 8" aeroport. And I don´t know if my kicker zx2500.1 amp will work good to do that, or I need to use another amp?

I would sell that amp and buy a sq 3500.1 does around 4300rms and you can wire it to .5ohm to keep rise down. Your kicker you have to wire at 2ohm after rise and what not you won't even see half power.

I was thinking the same sell the kicker and buy the sq3500d1 I will try to do that......... but what you try to say when you said, beef up the electrical

High output alternator of 270 amps or more abd at least three group 31's should keep you sitting nice on voltage

Pretty much this ..i run that amp and a mechman 240 with a g34 under the hood and 2 100ah dekas in back with a 800 4ch ab amp and i dont drop below 14.2

I have 6 kinetic hc600 in the truck and one yellow top in the front... but I runing my stock alt, but I planning to upgrade my stock alt to 250 or 300 amp alt. an 0 gauge around all the car......

And those 6 hdc600 is only 120ah probably not gona be enough to be honest

Yes u dont really have the reserve u need for what that amp is gona draw..trust me i run one.. u can either get 6 more hc600s which isnt practical or cheap ..or sell them and get 2 100ah batts

What sort of competition? What org? What power class? IMO there's nothing wrong with the Kicker 2500.1 and from my experience you'll have a hard time getting a single sub down to half ohm (if it isn't quad coil). More likely you'll wire down to half ohm and rise up to around 2 ohm making a D1 ohm coil good for daily or to wire parallel for comps.

All hdc4s are d1 so he can wire to. 5 or 2 but it will take it at .5 daily if he has the electrical to back it

Un less ur talking about the properties of a d1 sub wanting to rise up to 2 which i understand to some degree

3500.1 or 2 2200's strapped at .5 assuming it's for burps...

I burp mine on 2 old AQ3500's, .25 per amp
