true, but wheres the point in buying a dd 9915 and then listening it softly...

this thread is out of curiosity...i mean most of it is d class and and with a shitload of power???

havent seen anyone here with lets say 300 rms on their subs??

Big subs powered by the biggest amps they can afford is the car audio version of a penis size contest.

SQ goes out the window when its all about the size of your woofer.

Not really. I just like to be able to crank the volume once in awhile and have every note in a double-bass roll rattle my teeth. The set up I have now, 450~ on a 12 matches the high's perfectly. There are songs and or sections of songs where I want to feel it as much as possible, which is why I'm bumping to 1200 on two tens. My electrical can handle it at full tilt for awhile, and I can turn it down for softer music.

most of wtb is adds say 1500 @ 1 ohm or smthg like that...cmon seriously, just how much SQ can u get at 1 ohm even at softer volume...especially d class???

im not attacking anyone im just wondering if theres more ppl how actually appreciate good quality sound here or is everyone spl oriented?

Well Im in the process of getting ready to install a system in my car that will have a pair of 10's powered by 300w per channel of Zed made US acoustics, with a frontstage of older (new) Soundstream Exact 5.3's powered by 220w of Zapco Z220.

I've never been an SPL person.

I tend to listen to actual music and not all bass. from 4 18"s

girls seem to like that better also, getting goose bumps from a live recording, of their favorite song.

thank u, SQ still lives...i have my front system hooked up to 2x helix hxa 1000(ab class monoblock, damping factor 850:santa:320w measured)

and on monday Mb Quart premium 10'' incoming...which goes in a transmission line box:santa:

amp is rockford bd 1000.1 which was aquired in a trade for my oxygen t440 and some cash..its easier to trade that for a good ab class then the amp that was previously in my possesion

My sub stage has about 840 watts going to it at 4 ohms. It blends perfectly with the front stage when I want it to. At other times I can crank it and have all the bass I want, although those times are rare anymore.
