Sponsor membership - Suggestions

When would this go into effect? You got the coding ready or is it going to be a mess like the search feature?

The coding is pretty much in place. The only slightly tricky part is automating the paypal signup process and auto convert a member to sponsor member. But I'm sure we can figure it out. I'm just making sure this idea is worth the time and effort.

Would you get rid of the ad system that's in effect now and just have member sponsorship money take its place? that may make some members happier but i am not sure how much more or less you would gain one over the other.

Not sure what you mean. You won't be able to post such as affiliate links in posts. That isn't even allowed by most affiliate programs anyway. This would be to sell your own goods.

That would be doable. Not sure if that would mean a price increase or not. It really depends on how many members want this. I can't see too awfully many wanting a sponsor membership, so it might be ok to remove ads for that member group only.

I was just asking, B1tchfagget. I know it has nothing to do with the current ads. So many people b1tch about the current ads that maybe if he gets enough sponsor members that he wouldn't have to implement so much or any of the current ads.

But I don't even know why people are b1tching so much about the current ads. The only time they were annoying was when they were randomly placed in between posts or on the side.

The only ad or ad related thing I see is the ebay links at the bottom of the pages. I do hate the look of the forum though, but a new skin would fix that.
